The
Mary P. Hinsdale School is one of Winsted’s two elementary schools.
The school serves approximately 375 students in grades kindergarten
through five.
Hinsdale
is a friendly, safe, and caring school with high academic expectations for our
students. The faculty and staff at Hinsdale are dedicated to meeting the
academic, social, and emotional needs of all students. We offer a wide range of
remedial and enrichment programs including a homework center, after school
classes and clubs, and a supplementary reading programs in grades K-3.
Last year we implemented a new classroom guidance program and student
recognition program.
We are
very proud of the technological advancements we have made in the past few years.
We have a state of the art computer lab, and high-speed Internet
connections to every room in the school.
Thanks
to the Hinsdale Parent Teacher Organization which actively raised funds to build
our new playground. We now have one
of the finest playgrounds in the region.
