Kurt Werner

I am born and raised in Winsted. I attended Saint Anthony School grades K-8 and graduated from The Gilbert School in 1996. I moved to California in 1999 and then to Arizona, finally moving back to Connecticut in 2004. I eventually went back to earn my undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut and followed that up by earning my Master’s in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies at the University of Bridgeport. In my search for a permanent teaching position I was presented the opportunity to work in insurance as a producer. I have two children who attend Winchester Public Schools, and I am actively involved in their extracurricular activities, most notably serving as a coach for Winsted Youth Baseball and as a member of their board.
