Harvest Parade

Dear Batcheller Families and Staff,

On Friday, November 1, 2019, we will host our Annual Harvest Parade. As you are aware, we have been experiencing heavy traffic at the Batcheller School during large events. Due to projected weather, we are anticipating holding the parade indoors.

We are altering the parking situation for staff and families on Friday to accommodate the most vehicles on property as possible. We are encouraging families to carpool to help alleviate traffic congestion.

All staff will park behind the Batcheller School building on Friday morning. Mrs. Padin will assist on Friday morning with car placement. No staff members should park in the bus loop area, barn or driveway.

Families will be provided parking spaces near the barn, in the driveway, and bus loop areas. Staff will be available Friday to assist with parking locations. You will need to park as directed. Once all spots are taken in the designated areas, cars will be required to park on the road (self-assigned).

While we know that this will not completely solve the parking issues, it should help improve safety and traffic flow. As always, we remind everyone to drive slowly and carefully.

All parents will be required to have their vehicle out of the school lot no later than 2:45 PM. This will help ensure smooth traffic flow with the arrival of buses. We are encouraging parents to take their children home after the event; sign out sheets will be available in classrooms.
